Controlling Dreams and my Friendly Lion

I had, what started of as a horrible dream last night.

As is usual with my horrible dreams though, I managed to steer it in a way that everything ended up fine.

Last nights was a little unusual as my friendly lion was nowhere to be seen and my saviour this time was just a ladder.

In last nights dream I was stuck on a cloud, there was a ladder on the side but the top of the ladders was about 2 feet lower than the top of the cloud and I could not see it, basically the only way of finding the ladder was to lay on my tummy, hang my legs over the cloud and hope the ladder was there.

I was starting to panic now as I really badly wanted to get down.

My dream controlling came to the rescue again by creating a hole in the centre of the cloud with a ladder sticking a good 3 feet up 🙂

I don’t know if I actually got down as that was the end of the horrible dream.

I’ve always had the ability to control my dreams

Thinking about it this morning, I’ve always had this strong ability to change, and often control, my dreams but never really thought much about it.

Lucid Dreaming

This morning I decided to search in Google for Controlling Dreams and came across an article about Lucid Dreams in Wikipedia where it says;

“A lucid dream is any dream during which the dreamer is aware that they are dreaming.

During lucid dreaming, the dreamer may be able to exert some degree of control over the dream characters, narrative, and environment”

Wow!, that sums it up exactly I thought, I now know I am a Lucid Dreamer.

The Friendly Lion in my Dreams

Now that I no more about Lucid dreaming it explains a regular occurrence in my dreams “My Friendly Lion”

My friendly lion has been in my dreams for as long as I can remember, and often turns up in the most unusual places just when I need him.

He’s not a pet, doesn’t have a name, I never touch him, ride him or anything like that, but always have this sense that he is ever loyal and will always protect me.
